Katy Perry

Katy Perry is well-known for her bright clothing, catchy choruses, and upbeat demeanour. From an objective standpoint, she is a really likable person. We have some questions as singers. Her voice can sound extremely flat at times, especially during live performances. Furthermore, Perry lacks the range that many of her contemporaries do. Sure, he’s a bubble gum radio singer. But who can captivate a full audience with their singing abilities? Not at all.

Ozzy Osbourne

“SHARRRROOOOONNNN!” A few things spring to mind when most people think about Ozzy Osbourne. His ‘unusual’ fashion taste, being a pioneering lead in one of the first reality television shows, shouting for his wife in a language most people don’t understand, and, of course, his ‘colorful’ on-stage performances. But will anyone ever describe him as a great singer? I’m sure some do, but not in the same way that Mariah Carey or Freddie Mercury are remembered.

Camila Cabello

Camila Cabello is a divisive figure among many music enthusiasts. Some believe she is the next major star in the pop music industry. Others think her music is too generic. You know, the kind of songs that are ordinary and are usually wrapped behind a charismatic and attractive musician. Some people enjoy Cabello’s music. She clearly has a devoted following. However, on the other end of the scale, it appears to be below average when compared to others in the genre. (such as Shakira and Kali Uchis).

Axl Rose

Guns N’ Roses is an American rock band. They’re well-known for their live instrumental performances as well as their ability to amuse. As a result, Axl Rose will never be confused with Freddie Mercury or Steve Perry. His voice is simply not powerful. The term “electronic commerce” refers to the sale of electronic goods. Rose benefits enormously from the fact that such a legendary band glosses over his vocals with a transcending rock sound.

Dave Matthews

There’s a running joke about Dave Matthews that seems to have been going on for decades. His fan base is devoted to the point where he is revered as a divinity. The dude can’t possibly go wrong! He’s seen as the ideal musician, from his lyrical structure to the improvisation he frequently undertakes during live events. Here’s the issue…The term “electronic commerce” refers to the sale of electronic goods.

Lou Reed

Lou Reed is undoubtedly an acquired taste. His music is described as repetitive and dreary. There are moments when Reed reads poetry rather than engaging in any kind of vocal arrangement. We understand that Reed has his own distinct fan group that adores him. Regardless, Reed isn’t the type of commercial singer with playability whose music you’ll listen to in your car over and over.

Liam Gallagher

Enough with the squabbling! Oasis is a terrific band founded by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. (Liam, Noel). Both have been on the rocks with one another for whatever reason in the years after the band broke up. Frontman Liam is frequently in the spotlight as the group’s public face. While there is no doubt that he has some genuine skill, there are other peers from the same era who are just better singers. Plus, we’re turned off by his arrogance and general bad attitude.

Liam Gallagher

Britney Spears

Britney Spears will be remembered as a pop icon for the rest of her life. Nobody can take that from her. She’s created more than a few bangers, and these songs are still popular among those in their 30s and early 40s. Still, when compared to some of her contemporaries, Spears is overrated as an artist. Her vocal abilities aren’t particularly good, and her discography pales in comparison to those who have continued to work/release songs over the last 20 years.

Adam Levine

When their debut album Songs About Jane was released in 2002, Maroon 5 grabbed the globe by storm. Sexy frontman Adam Levine aided the group’s ascension to the top of the charts. In the process, the band received several Grammy nominations. But, with time, I’ve realized that listening to Adam’s voice is like watching Groundhog Day on repeat. I’m no singing instructor, but I recognize a bad vocalist when I hear one. Adam’s voice is essentially the same on every track. It’s a little nasally, and after a couple songs, it becomes really irritating. It’s difficult to imagine his voice hasn’t matured or developed significantly in the last decade or so. Yikes.

Rihanna

‘RiRi’ is a fantastic performer. She brings a lot of sexiness to her songs and concerts, but she does it in a very refined way. This is seen in the vibrant music video for her song “Rude Boy.” While Rihanna has a wonderful voice, it pales in comparison to the other giants in the category. Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Beyonce, and Mariah Carey have considerably superior voices. This is not to say Rihanna lacks vocal ability. Can we, however, rank her among the finest when compared to these titans?

Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne’s debut album, Let Go, sold 16 million sales in 2002. Since then, people have discovered that the Canadian singer/songwriter is a poor singer. Her voice has improved since the days of “Sk8er Boi,” but nothing can disguise the reality that Avril got lucky with a gimmick. For a few years, Avril was one of the leaders of the female pop-punk genre of the early 2000s. Music fans are sick of her weak vocals and off-key performances these days. Her self-titled album from 2013 sold barely 650,000 copies worldwide, a far cry from the millions of albums she sold during her peak.

Bono

Fans, we hear you! U2 puts on a fantastic show. They used to, at least. Yes, Bono is a powerful force for good in the world. We adore the story of two old school friends who went on to form one of the world’s biggest and most successful rock bands. But Bono as a lead singer? He’s like something out of a Kevin Costner film. Yes, Kevin has hit a couple home runs, but it sometimes feels like he’s phoning it in. The same may be said about Bono. Here’s an illustration: Remember when Bono was involved in a bike accident a few years ago? One of the appearances he had to cancel was on The Tonight Show. Instead, Jimmy and The Roots sang U2. Jimmy was, dare we say, comparable to the actual thing.

Selena Gomez

Many of Selena Gomez’s albums have gone to number one in the United States. What, though, drives fans to rush out and buy her CDs or pay hundreds of dollars to see her perform? We’re not certain. It’s most likely not her vocals, as her singing voice leaves a lot to be desired. She is essentially the creation of some astute producers who have propelled the careers of numerous underwhelming Disney stars. (like Britney Spears and Hilary Duff). Regardless of how hard she tries, the “Come & Get It” singer always sounds a little off key. (We still love her, though.)

Sid Vicious

Let’s break it down: Vicious couldn’t play bass or sing, he was accused with the murder of his girlfriend, and he was so insane most of the time that he wore swastika t-shirts as a punk rock statement. For some reason, multitudes of fans have elevated and deified this man to the status of Punk Godfather. While greats like Iggy Pop, Joe Strummer, and Joey Ramone are recognized, they are nowhere like the legend that Sid is. He only ever contributed an attitude to music.

Janet Jackson

How does a mediocre vocalist sell more than 100 million CDs worldwide? Simply ask Janet Jackson. Janet became an R&B princess when her self-titled debut album was released in 1982, riding on her surname and with some aid from her father Joseph. She still has a cult-like following. There are legions of admirers who dance and sing along to every song, no matter how banal Janet’s vocals are. Her singing voice is almost whisper-like, but her infectious tunes have established Jackson as one of the best R&B singers of all time.

Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain, the late golden boy of grunge music, had a compelling grasp on people who were intrigued by the genre of music that made him famous. Cobain was a really intelligent person. The term “electronic commerce” refers to the sale of goods and services over the internet. We won’t criticize his creative approach, but we will criticize his singing. Cobain has a distinctive voice, almost like a high baritone. It also sounded whiny and a little raspy at times.

Miley Cyrus

What should we think about Miley Cyrus? As a performer? A showman? Are you an entertainer? Or only as a singer? She is quite talented in terms of solely performance-based work. Few young performers have achieved the level of success that Cyrus has. It takes a special talent to be able to shift into the world of music. While she did enter the industry like a wrecking ball, we wouldn’t call Cyrus an outstanding vocalist. Let’s simply call her a multi-talented entertainer.

Chris Martin

Coldplay has received a lot of criticism for being somewhat cheesy. Much of their music is influenced by the numerous British rock bands that came before them. (such as U2, The Smiths, and Oasis). The voice of lead singer Chris Martin is nothing special. He’s competent at what he does, but he lacks the range and depth of Bono, Morrissey, and the Gallagher brothers. While Coldplay’s songs can be inspiring as well as entertaining, Martin’s voice leaves you wanting more.

Bob Dylan

Just because you’re distinctive doesn’t mean you’re a great singer. Bob Dylan’s abilities must be classified accordingly. The term “electronic commerce” refers to the sale of electronic goods. Dylan is revered as a poetic talent by people of all ages. Others, on the other hand, perceive him as a vacuous individual with hollow vocals and openly dull performances. Folk singers exist…Dylan, on the other hand, is in a class all his own. He’s one of those men who you either love or despise.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is the biggest music performer of our time for a variety of reasons. She has a lovely face, an uncomfortable demeanor that most females can identify with, and she creates good, meaningful music. While she should be credited for writing good songs, it should be limited to country music. Taylor’s career in the Pop music industry is thriving, but the quality of her music isn’t. Most female celebrities want to lose their nice girl image. Taylor performed a good job, although she seemed to lose her vocal edge in the process. Her fans might have noticed if she hadn’t been a Grammy-winning performer with a large fan base. Despite this, it does not appear that they will catch on very soon.

Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran’s popularity has skyrocketed in recent years. While he has a good voice, it is far from the legendary reputation that many have already bestowed upon him. Sheeran’s appeal originates from the fact that he is a pop sensation while appearing to be an ordinary guy with a slew of hideous tattoos. This kind of natural likability has set his character on fire. Let’s not kid ourselves about Sheeran’s vocal abilities. He’s hardly someone who will be remembered as the decade’s “voice.”

Madonna

Madonna created a massive profile based on her fashion sense and perception rather than her vocal abilities. She did have a fantastically rich career as a performer, as she is a highly gifted individual who has enormous success as both an actor and a fashion icon. We have to wonder if Madonna’s fans love her for her music or for her as a person. We’re going with the latter because her voice simply isn’t up to par with her contemporaries in the profession.

Justin Bieber

In 2012, the “What Do You Mean?” singer was every girl’s crush. However, time passes quickly. He not only has a lesser fan following, but his harsh manner and inability to sing live have pushed him to the bottom of the popularity rankings. Although there is no doubt that Bieber could sing and had a passion for music as a young aspiring artist. But today, his casual attitude toward fans and underwhelming performances have left his admirers questioning if he even cares. His live performances are at best mediocre, and he has claimed that he does not know the lyrics to his biggest hit “Despacito.”

Jennifer Lopez

There are numerous reasons to admire Jennifer Lopez. She’s a fantastic actress, a fantastic mother, a fantastic philanthropist, and a role model for millions of young people all around the world. However, we must admit…her singing skills is pretty pedestrian. “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and “Jenny From the Block” are two of our favorite songs. But that doesn’t mean her voice is on par with Selena, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, or other artists from her time.

Jim Morrison

This is a difficult one. Morrison exuded charisma and has the appearance of a true ‘frontman’ for any rock band. Women desired to be with him, while men desired to be him. He left a lot to be desired as a pure vocalist. Morrison’s voice was never particularly strong, and his lyrics were at times both incomprehensible and difficult to comprehend. The Doors’ brand will always be associated with fandom. Having said that, there are others from this era who were considerably better performers than Morrison.
